Handstand research

img20201201_20015780_edited.jpg

As a hand-balancer, since 2013 I’ve found my own way of enjoying the practice, by working with a more gentle, relaxed and free-moving approach to what usually is a very static and pose based discipline. Dying Handstand, the name of one of my first videos back in 2016, is in essence what I am working with. A body that ’s alive, growing, breathing but that also melts, decays and dies. This is an ongoing experiment, and recently live sound has become part of the narrative I am playing with.
